Dosing

50-200mg/d, raise slowly (by 25mg/wk) to prevent cognitive side effects. Up to 600mg/d in binge eating.

Management

SE: Dizzy, imbalance, cognitive impairment. Warning: renal stones

Can treat psychosis in schizophrenia (particularly when resistant to clozapine), but paradoxically can also cause psychosis.

Protects against damage from meth/amphetamine/cocaine abuse.
