Dosing
Start 1 mg qhs, raise to 2 mg after 1 week, then raise by 2 mg every 1-2 week to target of 6-16 mg qhs. Longer half-life than prazosin so can be dosed once a day.
Management
Alpha-agonist blood pressure medicine similar to prazosin but with fewer studies in PTSD for nightmares.
Warn of hypotension, follow blood pressure on it.
