Dosing
100mg nightly (do not use alcohol while on this med). May take 8 weeks to work.
INTERACTIONS: Syncope with 3A4 inhibitors (eg, fluvoxamine) or alcohol.
Management
Antidepressant like structure but does not treat depression, so not safe in bipolar. Overall has low efficacy. FDA approved in premenopausal women but works in postmenopause as well.
RISKS: Fainting when combined with alcohol.
